WINGS Staff
Anne Guarnera, MA, LPC - Executive Director
Anne joined the WINGS staff as Executive Director in 2005 after volunteering
for WINGS as a group facilitator for 3 years. She received her master's
degree in Counseling Psychology from the University of Colorado at Denver
and her bachelor's degrees in Women's Studies and English from St. Olaf
College in Minnesota. Anne's diverse experience includes over 10 years
with non-profit organizations in areas including special events, accounting,
psychotherapy, and teaching. Anne also has an extensive volunteer history
of victim advocacy, group facilitation and training with agencies dedicated
to assisting survivors of violence
Sue Wendelin, MS, LMFT, LPC, Diplomat in Psychotherapy - Program Director
Sue joined the WINGS staff in 2007. She received her master's degree in Educational Psychology and Human
Development from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln, where she also received her bachelor's degree in Social Work
and Human Development. Sue's experience includes over 20 years with nonprofit organizations in the areas of psychotherapy, program direction and quality assurance. This includes work with adolescents and children. Sue has also worked in Austin, TX as the Program Director of the Rape Crisis Center and with the District Attorney's Office Victim Assistance Program.
Valerie Henderson - Program Assistant
Valerie began her career with WINGS in January of 2006 as an intern through the Colorado Organization of Victim Assistance (COVA) Intern Program which pairs degree-seeking students in the human services field with nonprofit organizations. Having shown great commitment to WINGS, she was hired as the Program Assistant in July of 2007. Valerieís experience outside of WINGS includes bookkeeping, database work, administrative coordination and insurance. Valerie is enrolled in Metropolitan State College of Denver and seeking a Bachelor degree in Social Work.
