Personal safety is everyone’s concern.

Presenter

Stephen M. Stroud has an extensive work history in the field of Criminal Justice,
beginning in 1971 through 1995. His career began as a police officer for the City of Oxnard,
California, where he worked for three years as a patrolman in a highly diverse community.
Upon moving to Colorado in 1974 he became a police agent for the City of Lakewood,
where he worked as a patrolman, a detective in the juvenile unit and a member of the S.W.A.T. team.
In 1983, he went to work for the Sheriffís Department in Jefferson County, Colorado,
where he served for 12 years spending 5 of those years working in the jail as a
counselor and the other 7 years coordinating the Victim Services Unit. Stephen has his Master of Arts Degree in Human Relations and Management,
his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology and his Associate of Arts Degree in Police Science.
Stephen has taught at the primary and secondary levels, as well as, the college level.
He has taught in police academies and in-service classes for law enforcement agencies.
Stephen also served on the Board of Directors of the WINGS Foundation, Inc. from 2003-2005.
Since 1996 Stephen has been in business for himself in the City of Lakewood.
He does specialized presentations on safety for groups and individuals as requested.
