Become a Champion of Healing™

One in five people experienced sexual abuse as children. Chances are, you know an adult survivor—whether or not they’ve ever shared that part of their story with you. Most survivors never disclose, because our culture hasn’t made it safe or easy. Too often, for those who do disclose, they face disbelief, minimization and even victim-blaming. This can be just as damaging as the abuse itself.
You can be part of changing this reality.
By becoming a Champion of Healing™, you stand with adult survivors of childhood sexual abuse (CSA) and help build a healthier society. With your support, we can create safer, more connected communities that recognize CSA and its lasting impact. Together, we can hold space for survivors to be seen, to speak, to heal, and to thrive beyond trauma.
In the Champions of Healing™ learning series, you’ll hear directly from adult survivors as they share their experiences and healing journeys. You’ll also hear from the loved ones and professionals who journey alongside them and learn how you, too, can make a difference.

You’ll learn the ABCD’s:
Acknowledge Recognize the reality of CSA, its impact on adults, and how to begin the healing journey – if this issue happened in your life.
Believe Learn about the challenges of disclosing abuse and how to respond with care and compassion if someone discloses a history of abuse to you.
Connect Explore the power of healthy relationships and community to support healing. Learn about different types of services available and how to connect to them.
Demonstrate Identify ways you can use your voice and take action to transform our culture into one where everyone can thrive.

For Adult Survivors of Childhood Sexual Abuse
This video includes some of the survivors whose stories will be featured, along with some of the professionals you’ll be hearing from in the series, too. Many adult survivors don’t realize how past abuse shapes present-day challenges; that healing is possible – or how to find their way to and through services that can help. The Champions of Healing™ for Survivors series aims to cover these topics and more. You can sign up if and when you feel ready.
This course is designed to help loved ones, friends, and professionals understand CSA, its impacts on adult survivors, and how to respond with care and compassion. Our goal is to increase understanding and support for adult survivors while reducing instances where allies may turn away.

Loved Ones on Believing
This video conveys the importance of believing survivors when they come forward with their experience of childhood sexual abuse and lets you know what you can expect as a loved one taking the learning series. When survivors are met with compassion, rather than minimization or doubt, it creates space for safety, connection, and growth. This series helps you learn how to provide these supportive experiences to survivors in your life.
Loved Ones Learning to Accept
Learning that someone you love was abused as a child can challenge everything you thought you knew. Many people struggle to accept the truth of what survivors share with them. This video provides a look into how the series offers loved ones a supportive, non-judgmental space to explore those reactions, understand why denial and disbelief can occur, and build the skills needed to respond with care, trust, and compassion. If you are starting here, it’s an important place to be. We encourage you to lean in and go further.
For Providers
This video is for professionals who may work with adults in a variety of settings – helping you understand what you can expect from the Allies series. In our culture, too many professionals are not taught about this issue, so they may not have the knowledge or skills to be there for adult survivors who need them. The Champions of Healing™ for Allies course provides an essential starting point to orient toward this issue. We hope you will be encouraged to sign on.
Timing and Flexibility
Each program consists of five modules of varying lengths, totaling approximately 2–3 hours. You can complete the modules at your own pace over 2–4 weeks.
Given the sensitive nature of the content, we encourage you to approach the material in manageable portions.
Wherever you begin, you’ll find tools, stories, and community to help foster healing and hope.
Please note: by signing up for either learning series, you will be added to our email list. You may opt out at any time using the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any email.
